election 2012: Australian Motorist Party response to questions

The Australian Motorists Party provided a simple response to the questions (see http://sofasd.org.au/sofasd/node/2) on 16/9/2012. While they do not have answers, they commit to "support".

Hi Bob,

Thanks for the questionnaire.

I would not really know what the answers would be to those questions.

We certainly know the struggle the victims and carers go through and we would understand these areas need to be given a higher priority by governments and would support such.

DPP drops Sullivan probe

THE NSW Director of Public Prosecutions has dropped investigations into the death of profoundly autistic Canberra teenager Jack Sullivan more than four years ago.

Almost two years since the case was passed to the DPP, the public prosecutor says it does not have enough evidence to press manslaughter charges against a person whose name has been suppressed.

Since Jack's death, his mother, Esther Woodbury, had assumed her son drowned in a bath after an epileptic seizure while in outside care.

election 2012: ACT Labor response to questions

ACT Labor were first to respond to SOfASD's questions (see http://sofasd.org.au/sofasd/node/2).

SOfASD members felt that the response, did not answer the questions we asked. The questions all asked how they would imporve outcomes for people affected by ASD. Instead, ACT Labor described the existing services that deliver abysmal outcomes for people with ASD.

We asked if they wanted to revise their response. They did not reply.

A more detailed analysis of all the responses will be available soon.
